Studio Speck was delighted and excited to work on the new dining room at Cadoxton Primary School.
​
The brief was to transform a loud and noisy space into a dining experience for children and staff to enjoy. The high ceilings were making the room cold and uninviting and the noisy echo was frightening the younger children.
​
We added in a suspended ceiling which made a huge difference to the noise, new floorings, decoration and all the furniture in time for the new term.

Our staff all eat in the space daily and one of our teachers said, "It has transformed the feel to the space, and you can talk to the children whilst eating, it feels so calm."
