Cadoxton Primary School

Studio Speck was delighted and excited to work on the new dining room at Cadoxton Primary School.

The brief was to transform a loud and noisy space into a dining experience for children and staff to enjoy. The high ceilings were making the room cold and uninviting and the noisy echo was frightening the younger children.

We added in a suspended ceiling which made a huge difference to the noise, new floorings, decoration and all the furniture in time for the new term.

What was involved:

stripout

new flooring

decorations

furniture

lighting & electrics

suspended ceiling

" Thank-you. We are absolutely delighted with the outcome.  You, Paul and his team have been great to work with and have completely translated our vision to reality."

"I can't thank you both enough for your commitment and professionalism towards our project. You worked with us from day one to listen to what we wanted and the purpose and intent of the new dining space. You went above and beyond to ensure that you met the deadline so that the project would be complete in time for the children to return to school. You were flexible and adaptable in your approach and always ensured that we collaborated to meet our bespoke brief.

Your communication was exceptional, and you were available to talk through and problem solve every step of the way. You coordinated the design, planning and creation of this innovate new space and the outcome has been beyond what we imagined. To quote one of our children "It is like eating in a posh restaurant." Our staff all eat in the space daily and one of our teachers said, "It has transformed the feel to the space, and you can talk to the children whilst eating, it feels so calm."
